I see reCaptcha on many websites and wonder why it is so popular. I use very easy way how to stop spam (and yes, on quite popular websites). I simply add a question like “how do you spell word “word” backwards?” and I didn’t get single spam from robot for many years.

Adding the /. in the Permalinks Category setting will work in 2.7 and up when I tested it. Very easy! Thanks.

I didn’t like the original site (design and concept) both to start with, though your cloning skills are impressive, but don’t you think that’s copyright infringement? Just asking because I often see people cloning the websites and I m not sure about the laws …

Claus, we at Vidoop have a CAPTCHA solution that can be implemented in a similar fashion and may be easier on your readers. If you wish to check it out, our code is there and our main product page is my comment name. It is configurable too.

I needed this for changing the breadcrumb path and it worked like a charm in 2.7 b2, just by setting the caregory base to /.

and by the way: After saving, WP changes it to just the .
